Just when you thought the saga had come to an end…
The well-documented saga of Mauro Icardi’s rocky relationship with Wanda Nara has been a talking point for a fair while now. At one point new revelations were a regular occurrence.
Recently it’s been quiet, however in the latest instalment of ‘Keeping up with the Icardashians’, Wanda has been forced to deny having an affair with Icardi’s former Inter Milan teammate Marcelo Brozovic in a statement delivered during a court case against a journalist.
Icardi and Nara got together after meeting while Nara was married to Icardi’s former teammate, Maxi Lopez.
Nara has denied the claims
The Argentine international left Italy in 2019 to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain, with Nara has been locked in a legal battle with Italian journalist Fabrizio Corona ever since.
Corona claimed in a story that Nara had been having an affair with Brozovic while her partner was teammates with the Croatia international and it has since been claimed that Icardi felt ‘forced’ to leave Italy as a result.
However, as per the Daily Star, Nara has since spoken out against the allegations and the damage caused in a court appearance.
Speaking in court on Wednesday April 27, she said: “I never had a relationship with Marcelo Brozovic. We are a traditional family and this story caused us problems, both within the family and outside.
“My children went to school and they were bullied, it caused problems for my husband and for me, seeing as I am his agent. Nothing in the story is true.”
Nara also said the allegations played a part in Icardi’s move to PSG
Icardi joined PSG from Inter in 2019, when the story first broke and Nara admitted that the news had an impact on forcing the forward to leave.
“That story started all the problems and Mauro was forced to change club,” she said.
“Inter really made this situation weigh on him. They told him he had to move on, he had to change agent, they took away the captain’s armband and I don’t think it was due to his performances on the pitch. This whole thing caused huge issues with the club and directors.”
Icardi and Nara’s relationship has been on and off, with the pair using Instagram to keep fans updated on their relationship status – almost like something out of a reality TV show.
The pair also reportedly still live together with the two children that Nara and Lopez had when together, as well as two children of their own.
