After much speculation from fans watching the court case closely, Johnny Depp’s lawyer laughed off romance rumours.
Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez was questioned by reporters as she left the Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia and was once again asked if she is dating the 58-year-old actor. She only had one word for them: “sorry”
In the brief clip, the 37-year-old attorney is met by media as well as Depp fans glued to the case, before being asked to clear up the recent romance rumours: “the people want to know, are you dating Johnny Depp?”
Vasquez – a graduate of Southwestern Law School, class of 2010 and the University of Southern California, 2006 – reacts with laughter and when pushed for a “yes or no” answer, only sees fit to simply answer with a polite “sorry” as she continues to walk away and greet other people outside the courthouse.
Speaking to another member of Depp’s legal team, TMZ insist that the insider has rubbished reports that their clearly fond relationship is anything more than friendly and professional.
Moreover, Vasquez is currently thought to be dating someone and both parties have refused to confirm or deny the fan theories.
Nevertheless, many fans are convinced that Vasquez’s reaction and body language in the clip (originally secured by TMZ as well) suggests otherwise. On the other hand, some have rightly pointed out that dating a client would be highly inappropriate and most likely cause for her license to be taken away.
