It’s not the first time that Musk has come up in the trial
Amber Heard dated Elon Musk whilst she was trying to reconcile her relationship with Johnny Depp, the couple’s former agent has claimed.
Christian Carino made the claims in a pre-recorded testimony from March this year, which was played to the jury in the defamation trial between Depp and Heard.
Carino had helped organise a San Francisco reconciliation between Heard and Depp, and was asked about whether Heard and Musk’s were dating at the time of the reconciliation.
He told lawyers: “I don’t know whether they were dating, but they had definitely spent time together.”
He was then asked how long after the reconciliation he found out that Heard was dating Musk.
“I don’t know exactly how long, but not long after,” he said.
But he added that he believed Heard did want to reconcile with Depp at the time.
In one 2017 text, Heard complains about her break-up with Musk, to which Carino replies: “Why would you be sad if you were not in love with him to begin with?”
In another, Carino tells Heard: “You told me a thousand times you were just filling space [with Musk.
“You weren’t in love with him.”

Musk’s name has come up on several occasions throughout the long-running battle between Depp and Heard.
In opening statements at the beginning of the trial, Heard’s lawyers told the jury that Depp had been “obsessed” with the 50-year-old, the Independent reports.
And Musk has previously faced allegations that he had a threesome with Heard and Cara Delevingne.
In a 2019 deposition to Depp’s lawyers, the husband of one of Heard’s friends said Musk had a threesome with Delevingne and Heard at Depp’s Los Angeles penthouse in late 2016.

In a statement to Page Six in 2020, the billionaire said that he and Delevingne have “never been intimate.” He also said that his relationship with Heard began “about a month” after she filed for divorce with Depp.
Musk added: “I don’t think I was ever even in the vicinity of Amber during their marriage!”
Depp is currently suing his former wife Heard for defamation over an op-ed she wrote in 2018 in which she discussed the subject of domestic abuse.
Depp and his lawyers argue that the Washington Post piece falsely implies that Heard was physically and sexually abused by Depp while they were married from 2015 to 2017. He is seeking $50m in damages.
Heard is in turn suing her former husband, accusing him of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her and labelling his lawsuit as a continuation of “abuse and harassment.”
She has asked for immunity from Depp’s complaint, and $100m in damages.
